PROFESSIONAL

Driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation in patient-centered care, Dr. McCloskey’s mission is to serve his patients with a level of depth and specificity rarely seen in modern medicine. Jason’s knowledge and experience with the human form is extensive, having secured a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Psychology and Biochemistry from GC&SU’s School of Health and Human Performance, post-graduate certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2012. While at GC&SU he was accepted into the two-year Human Performance cohort under the tutelage of Dr. Mike Martino, the USA National Team Swimming Coach from 1990 to 2000 and a member of the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Advisory Coaching Staff in Barcelona and Atlanta. Before graduating, he interned at Oconee Regional Medical Center in the post-surgical rehabilitation department and spent his senior apprenticeship under Dustin Wolf, Strength and Conditioning coach for the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream and Performance Director of Performance Training, Inc. in Suwanee, Georgia.

Dr. McCloskey began Chiropractic school at Life University (Atlanta, GA) where he was also enrolled in their Sports Health Science Master’s program for sports injury management under Dr. Jeffrey Rupp, Fellow and President of the Southeastern Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). While at Life University, he was introduced to Chiropractic Neurology and interned during Dr. Ted Carrick’s internationally renowned patient rounds as he saw patients from all over the world seeking nonsurgical, natural, therapeutic modalities. In 2015, Dr. McCloskey transferred to Parker University in Dallas, Texas to pursue an internship at Carrick Brain Centers throughout school where he was the President of the Functional Neurology Organization for two years. Throughout his time at Carrick Brain Centers, he spent three years learning under one of his most influential and significant mentors, Dr. Brandon Brock, a multi-disciplinary clinician who masterfully integrated allopathic and holistic modalities with unbelievable outcomes for complex patients. Dr. McCloskey graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2017, immediately double board-eligible for a diplomate with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and the International Board of Functional Neurology (IBFN). Immediately following graduating from school, he completed his Childhood Developmental Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders coursework with Dr. Robert Melillo (international best-selling author of “Autism” and “Disconnected Kids”) and became a Fellow of the International Board of Functional Neurology as a specialist in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders (FIBFN-CND) in the summer of 2018.

Dr. McCloskey has since focused the majority of his postdoctoral education in the field of Functional Medicine, learning from the leading educational institutions in the country, including the Institute for Functional Medicine, Cyrex Laboratories, Precision Analytical, Cogence Immunology, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute. With extensive expertise in evidence-based, holistic approaches to autoimmune, neurological, gut, and hormone-related conditions, he is widely regarded as a leading authority in personalized lifestyle medicine in Palm Beach County.

PERSONAL

Jason grew up in Peachtree City, Georgia, 30 minutes south of downtown Atlanta. He played club soccer for Atlanta FC, a R3PL (southeast) travel team year-round and was acknowledged with Georgia's State Player of the Year award in 2007 as a goalkeeper on his state championship soccer team and maintains his passion for all sports, especially European soccer and College football. His other passions include cooking, reading at local coffee shops, creating music, traveling, and his German Shepherd, Munich.

His interest in complex medical cases began when his mother developed the highest-rated chronic pain disorder on the McGill Pain Index, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, following a hip replacement surgery in 2003. At the time, CRPS was an enigma to the 40 doctors she visited and the treatment of her condition seemed to stall for close to a decade. While at Life University he discovered the clinic on campus operated by Dr. Ted Carrick, the father of Chiropractic Neurology (a clinical neuroscience approach physicians are using instead of medications or surgeries focusing on receptor-based stimulation as a specific treatment modality for patients with complex neurological cases). After being treatment-resistant for a decade, a week of rehabilitation with Dr. Carrick proved to significantly decrease her pain, enabling her to reintroduce many aspects of everyday life and normality she hadn't been able to enjoy up until that point.

The philosophical shift from symptom management to addressing dysfunctional physiology at a core level was paradigm-shifting in how he viewed working with his clients and high-stakes patients. He has devoted much of his time over the last decade to sharpening his craft, pursuing a mature understanding of the brain and interwoven organ systems to help patients with complex issues.
